Man!!! Yesterday and today are the most tiring days I ever had...
Yesterday, during P.E., played soccer with seven of my classmates, and we played until most of us, including me, perspired like hell. Our heads were so wet and so does our P.E. T-shirts until some of our other classmates ask us whether did we just came out from a shower. After school, went straight to band room and sat outside to wait for the keys. While waiting, was warming up after following some warm-up skills from some professional drummers that I watched in YouTube. When the keys were taken, went in to the room, switched on the air conditioners and continue to do my warm-up. After my warm-up, went to listen to one song from my iPod named, Kirisute Gomen, from Trivium and followed the rhythms of the drums for warming up my legs and hands too.
After listening for awhile, suddenly remembered that I left my P.E. T-shirt in the class room and the entire class were in the hall having a meeting with Mr Quake, so I had to wait until my chairman had finished the meeting as she is holding on to the keys.
So while waiting, went to the canteen with some other band members and joined them. When it was time to go up to the band room, all performers went up. After the band had warmed-up, we rehearsed the songs that we were going to play for the ASEAN Tennis Opening. The ban played Final Countdown, Silent Movie, Around the World in Eighty Measures, Thunderer, Fanfare and Eres Tu. When I heard that we are playing Final Countdown, I had a lot of new ideas, as in new rhythms, in my head and played it out to give it a try. Not only I improvise Final Countdown, but also some others as well, and Hisyam played the bass drum with me as Desmond could not play it. After the quick rehearsal, went down to the concourse with the instruments and loaded them into the bus.
When we reached our destination, prepared everything in the Function Room in Jurong Country Club and start to have another rehearsal. While waiting for the rehearsal to start, Hisyam, Haziq and I kept on going o the restroom as the first time I went, my hand was bleeding. The second time was that we wanted to find water. The third time was that we went to watch ourselves up and went to bring some other band members to see "Heaven". Meaning is that when the three of us could not find any water and was told that there is water right at the end of the room, so there was a door and once we open it, the sunlight just gashed in and our eyes were kinda painful as though we just look at "Heaven". After the fun, went back and we started the rehearsal.
After the rehearsal, went back to school and was on the way out of the room, Mrs Chee asked Haziq and I to help to carry some instruments to her car. After helping, all of went back home.
Today, woke up around 4.50am to prepare for the performance today and was told to report in the band room by 6.30am. When I reached school and while waiting to retrieve the keys with Sery, Qiao Sian and Mrs Chee, Mrs Chee gave a small gift for thanking me to help out to perform with the band as there was no other percussionist left as the Sec 2s were having their Common Test. Once after retrieving the keys, went to band room and I started with my warm-up again. After this warm-up, my hands feel light and so does my legs. It really works. After the band had warmed up, we played Final Countdown again as Mrs Chee wanted to hear the song again as my improvising of the song was too much, but she liked it and told me to try to simplify it, but I asked her what if I can't, she told me to try as my standard is very high. After that quick rehearsal, everyone was rushing down to the concourse unprepared as we were late and all of us were rushing.
Once got to the same place, had one dry-run before the actual one starts. While waiting to start the dry-run, all of us had some muffins as some of us had bought them from Felyna and some were given by Mrs Chee as a treat. After a few hours later, the dry-run started. After the dry-run, rest for awhile and then, the actual performance started. After the performance, the percussions including Hisyam were told to sit and I suddenly just fell asleep as I was super damn tired and sleepy. After awhile later, we were told that we could eat the food from the buffet. After that, all of us started to pack up and head back to school.
In school, I was told that I am suppose to take a POA test and I was unprepared and was super tired, so I was told to take it after school. After school, took the test, and I think I am going to fail for sure as I am kinda weak in General Journal. After that, stayed back in school to study while waiting for the band to finish. After the band were released, Vania, Eelin, Shaffiqah and I went to the bubble tea shop just right opposite our school. Once after we gotten our drinks, all of us went back home.
WOOOWWW!!! What a tiring two days for me!!!
